I just realized that to start a business from nothing, it requires a person to understand they have no social credibility. People don't do business or buy from someone they don't know or don't trust. This video doesn't do this topic justice at all. It is far too basic and superficial to be of any real use. I started my own custom woodworking business making live edge furniture and reclaimed wood. Everyday is different and fun, well worth the daily effort. Way more rewarding if you have the temperament for the rollercoaster that is being a self employed business owner.

“Lighting round” tutorial with some very good 30,000 foot view tips. However, I didn’t see or hear any mention of the ground zero framework to ensure the foundation of any business is properly and legally accounted for, which include:
1. Business entity search
2. Trademark search
3. Articles of Incorporation
4. Obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN)
5. Opening a business checking account with a reputable financial institution in the name of the business.
I know the above are boring, however if this video is truly about starting a business from scratch, especially for those who never have, nothing can be assumed.

Hi Adam! I am looking at creative 2 different companies (one by myself and the other with my sister). As both companies are completely different then the other, how do I know which one to start with? One would be a sustainable apparel company, and the other is in the tea industry. I am passionate about both topics, but obviously don’t have endless pockets of money to spend on both. Also, the tea company is the one I’d be creating with my sister but she is still in college and does not have lots of money to spend on the company either (so I’d be paying more so out of pocket for it then her to start). With this in mind, which do you suggest I go into first? Thank you for your advice and videos!
