You are essentially just a store. You buy stuff, mark it up a bit to pay for the convenience of it all being in one place, and sell it. You are competing with Amazon, Walmart, Target etc.
Dropshipping only worked because the internet proved that there were alot of under-valued niches that peoooe wanted. There was no retailer for anime stuff. No retailer for specifically highly reviewed gym products. No retailer for the best tech equipment or niche things like models and art.
Now there are. There are millions of them. There is basically no niche that hasn’t been explored, so now dropshipping is no longer a user taking advantage of an under served market, you’re just a mini-Walmart – competing with other sellers to give the best price on 3rd party goods.
Unless you have a way to add value or have a found a niche that cannot be found anywhere else online but you are positive is profitable, then yea the dropshipping ship has already sailed for you.
